A white t-shirt is a serious staple in any wardrobe, whether you're a maximalist with cupboards and drawers bursting at the seams or you're a fan of a capsule edit.

The simple white t-shirt can elevate your look by adding a bit of neutral space, or can tone down an item that could look to 'extra' for everyday wear.

I was delighted to be gifted a selection of items from the team at New Look, and I knew that one item I couldn't go wrong with was a simple white t-shirt, as it truly does go with everything.

The t-shirt I received is linked here, the boxy style is quite forgiving on a larger chest and looks good either tucked in or worn outside the waistband. With it's £6.99 price tag, it's affordable whilst being made with 100% organic cotton - and right now you can save 25% off all full-priced styles until midnight tonight with code 'SUMMER25'

So, using the items available on New Look I thought I'd create a Three Ways to Wear just to highlight in a very small way the versatility of the piece.

Look 1

I'm pretty sure this look won't appeal to everyone, but quite often although being uber comfy, jumpsuits like this can be a bit bare on top. Personally, I prefer something either over or under straps like this.

The bright tone of the jumpsuit is ideal for summer dressing and is a great item for throwing on when the evening starts to cool off a little. The quilted sandals look super comfortable and easy to remove for a quick dip of the feet while by the beach. The co-ordinating bag goes nicely to finish off the look and by my estimation is large enough to hold some picnic snackage.

Look 2

One of my all-time favourite ways to style a plain t-shirt - or actually even a slogan tee for that matter- is with a satin midi skirt. The pale skirt helps to keep the colour palette nice and neutral in this outfit, and by sticking with blue denim and tan 'leather' it avoids becoming garish or over the top with the mix of textures.

Look 3

Got somewhere you need to be dressed smartly for but longing for the comfort of a t-shirt? I've got you covered. These high waisted shorts work to create a smart base for this look, while the white t-shirt creates a relaxed vibe and the cropped blazer pulls the two together to create a smart, city-chic look. Paired with the black and nude accessorises, this look could easily transfer from day to night with a slick of mascara and bold lip.

Until midnight tonight (16th June 2021) you can save 25% off everything full-price on site with code 'SUMMER25'!
