Fashion Victim; Three Ways To Wear Leather Trousers
Leather trousers made a bit of a resurgence in the last decade, having been – in my eyes – a bit of a New Romantic garment. Nowadays leather no longer needs to mean skin tight – with A-Line dresses, joggers and even pleated skirts adding an edge to previously understated outfits.
It’s been a good long while since my last Three Ways to Wear post where I was looking ahead to the excitement of summer, and styling a simple white t-shirt; this time however we’ll be looking at styles suitable for our unpredictable Autumn weather.
I’ll level with you in that, given my waistline and thighs, I really have no business wearing leather anything – and yet I love it. My leather-look leggings from last year are my absolute go-to garments, especially in the winter as they’re waterproof while being fleece lined!
These are the trousers we’ll be basing our looks around for this blog, they’re £25.99 from New Look but at the moment you can save 20% when you spend £40 or more.
The trousers feature a high waist with a zip fastening, pockets (!) and a tapered leg in a shorter length for an effortlessly cool look.
These are a real staple piece for the Autumn and can be styled in a real variety of ways.
A perfect look for either the office or a shopping spree, the mustard from this jumper ties in nicely into the pattern of the shoes.
Another super versatile outfit, this wouldn't look out of place in the conference room, nor for a weekend sightseeing in the Capital.
Black Long Lips Shirt £19.99
Pink Beaded Headband £15.99
Black Quilted Weekend Bag £29.99
This look is perfect for heading into the city centre for drinks, or settling into a bar for the evening.
White Twist Strap Block Heel £25.99
White Scuba Bralette £13.99
Dogtooth Button Front Blazer £39.99
To summarise, leather trousers are the pinnacle of rewearable fashion - I'd love to know how you'd style yours!
