Washing my face with a product that smells like Turkish Delight wasn’t something I had ever really thought would appeal to me, but my god, how that has changed.
I actually got the Elemis Rosepetal Cleanser as part of a free gift, at the time I’d just run out of my previous cream cleanser so this was a timely substitute. Straight away I knew that this was going to be a favourite product, the cream is quite thick and doesn’t lather – but it does leave skin feeling refreshed and soothed. There's nothing worse than a cleanser that feels stripping; especially when it’s heavily fragranced.
I’m not averse to fragrance in my skincare, as long as they don’t take away from the actual usage of the item, and this cleanser really does give the best of both worlds.
Rose can be a bit of a hit or miss scent, and in the past I’d have been quite dismissive but I find the Rosepetal to be quite a memory-invoking scent for me – my mum loves a Turkish Delight so this is definitely a pleasant smell for me.
Verdict: 9/10 I genuinely love this, the only reason I’m not giving a 10 is because I prefer a product to have a little bit more of a lather to it.
